Leadership students and The Feather staff woke up early this morning to sell Kid’s Day papers, March 3.

Groups of students arrived to school at 4 a.m. to get busy selling. “The morning started off slow because there aren’t may cars on the street at 4 a.m.”, said Senior Callista Fries. Students eagerly sold papers till 9 a.m. Later, when the total number of papers sold is determined we will let you know.

Newspapers can be sold until 3 p.m. so theres still time to donate to Valley Children’s Hospital and grab yourself a newspaper!

Update: According to Leadership Adviser Robert Foshee we made $1954.13 and sold about 920 newspapers.

The different groups of students woke up around 4 a.m. and claimed the good street corners before neighboring schools could. The kids put on their friendly smiling faces and jumped with joy in hopes of selling their papers to the passing cars.

Newspapers can be sold until 3 p.m. so theres still time to donate to Valley Children’s Hospital and grab yourself a newspaper!

The FC auction is our premier fundraising event that helps enrich our program and develop our campus. We are seeking quality donations to be sold at the auction; which will be held in the FC gym on March 14.

The FC auction is our premier fundraising event that helps enrich our program and develop our campus. We are seeking quality  auction donations to be sold at the auction; which will be held in the FC gym on March 14.

Popular items include new merchandise, gift certificates, hand crafted boutique items, all types of professional services, entertainment packages, vacation packages, recreational equipment and outing, collectibles, jewelry, electronic equipment, landscaping or gardening supplies, fancy desserts, and of course cash to help the cost of the event.

There will be a competition among 7th-12th grade classes; on who can bring the most items. Prizes for the winners will consist of donuts, elongated lunches, and an afternoon off with activities.

Even though the varsity basketball team lost to Fowler High School, 69-42, they have made the playoffs, Feb. 17. The basketball team is waiting to hear where they are placed and who they play in the playoffs.

Serve Fresno is an organization trying to get all the Churches in Fresno to serve as a united body to better the community. It is run by Every Neighborhood Partnership with the intention of reaching all the local schools in the Valley.

Walters works to keep the students interested with many fun and fascinating labs. Students mixed food coloring, hydrogen peroxide, water and potassium iodide for a colorful eruption.

The j.v. team plays at 4:30 p.m., the girls play at 5:30 and the varsity team plays 7 p.m. in the Parlier gym. The varsity team is 2-4 in league and look to clinch their playoff spot for the Valley Championships.

Jonas Anderson volunteers at Peoples Church in the worship department in his spare time when he is not looking after his daughter, Feb. 5. Anderson’s daughter Isabel was diagnosed with a inoperable brain tumor in April of last year.

She has been in and out of hospitals for the past year. Doctors have tried to help the tumor go down but they have been unsuccessful in the operation room.

The past year has been and emotional roller coaster for the Anderson family and they can really use your prayer for Isabel.
